THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE: A short while ago, I was laid off from my corporate role with a severance package — and for the first time in years, I had space to breathe. And to think.
It forced the question I’d been avoiding: What do I actually want my life to feel like?
My answer was clear — freedom, control over my time, meaningful work, and financial security not tied to someone else’s decisions.
I knew the corporate world wasn’t going to give me the lifestyle or inner peace I wanted.
